DISCOVERABILITY of Your Book on Amazon

In the past, Amazon made it easy to link within your reviews to other products. This feature disappeared months ago on the review page.  How are you now able to add this information? First, create a little plain text file in Notepad which contains your bio information which you want to add to the bottom of each review. Use this little file to promote your latest book as a part of your book review.

For example…(your name) is the author of more than …(number of books) books including her latest [[ASIN:…… “….” (name of your books]].  It should be only one sentence and once it is posted includes an active Amazon link to the product.

The benefit of using this formula is that it gives an active link to your book inside your review. An active link means the reader can click and instantly go to the page with your Amazon product. This process is all about adding to the discoverability of your book. Someone needs to know about your book eight to twelve times before they will purchase the book. Each of us as authors need to continually work so others discover our work.

So, you see, it pays to write reviews on Amazon (or Goodreads) – and in turn, you might get more reviews for your own books.

.

Have a wonderful February ahead, and don’t forget: “The only limitations to your success will be those you accept and those you place upon yourself!”
